Making memories

My husband and I had a wonderful afternoon/evening.  But it almost didn’t happen.  Right before he walked out of the house this morning, we discussed our plans.  When I brought up adding an extra stop that I thought would be fun and enjoyable with him, he treated it as a task to hurry and complete.  He saw my disappointment and got frustrated.  After a series of texts, I was resigned to being by myself for the rest of the day.

When he came home, he shared his awareness of the snares of the devil trying to ruin our time together.  We chatted and went back to our original plans of adoration, white elephant and gift shopping and capping it off with viewing Christmas lights at the www.Larsenlightshow.com.  5 1/2 hours later, it was a WONDERFUL EVENING!  So glad we had the determination and insight to keep our marriage strong and make some great memories.
